Snowmobile Safety Training: The Trail Hawks Snowmobile Club is offer Training for ages 12 and older to safely operate a snowmobile. Students successfully completing this course will be issued a Snowmobile Safety Certificate from the MN DNR. This is a requirement by Minnesota Statutes as of 1997 to be able to drive a snowmobile. Cost is $5.00 and parents must accompany students to receive important online registration and payment information. Parents must also bring the student's birth certificate. Class will be at the Eveleth-Gilbert Junior High Cafeteria on February 26 and March 1. Registration will start at 4:30 PM with class from 5:00 - 8:30 PM. Use door #3, the canopy entrance. The riding test will be on Saturday, March 3 from 7:30 - 10:00 AM at the DNR Eveleth Office on Highway 37. Stop in the office for a flyer or check the bulletin boards for more information.


Chess Club Members: There is less than a month left of Chess Club. The last day is March 15th. Please find some time to come back and play in some tournaments.


Locker Clean Out: Will be on Friday, February 23rd. 5th and 6th grade students will be theirs between 8:05 and noon. 7th graders will be during Period 5 and 8th graders during period 6. Teachers will escort you to your lockers for clean out.


Reminder to All Students: You are not allowed to climb on the snow banks in the front of the school. This is a safety hazard with the road so close.


Lost and Found: Be sure to check the lost and found table in the canopy entrance for anything you may have lost. Anything on the lost and found table on March 1st will be donated.


Attention Band Students: There will be no 6th grade band or band lessons today with Mr. Szumal.


Friends of Rachel Club: The FOR Club will meet during lunches today.


Speech Team: The bus to the Bemidji Lumberjack speech invitational will depart from door #3 (the HS Commons) on Jones Street at 5:45 AM on Saturday morning. Please be prompt.
